Sensex dips below 15K

The Sensex is at its day"s low of 14,999 - down 411 points. Tata Steel, Reliance Communications, Mahindra & Mahindra, ICICI Bank and Jaiprakash Associates have shed 3.5% each. Reliance Infrastructure, ACC, Sun Pharma and Maruti Suzuki have dipped 3% each to Rs 1,147, Rs 805, Rs 1,187 and Rs 1,307, respectively. ITC, Larsen & Toubro, Reliance, Tata Motors, TCS, ONGC, Infosys, SBI, Grasim, Hindustan Unilever and HDFC Bank have dropped 1-3% each. Among the Nifty stocks Reliance Capital, Cairn India, Jindal Steel and SAIL have declined 4% each. However, Tata Power has rebounded and is now up 1% at Rs 1,298. Tata Communications and BPCL have gained around 1% each to Rs 508 and Rs 528, respectively. The market breadth continues to be fairly negative. Out of 2,352 stocks traded 62% have declined while 35% have advanced.
