Rs 18 lakh highest offer for IIM-C manufacturing executives
The Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta, (IIM-C), has successfully placed all its 32 students of the post-graduate programme for executives (visionary leadership in manufacturing, or PGPEX-VLM). The highest offer was Rs 18 lakh and the average stood at Rs 11.37 lakh.

Markets off day's high

The Midcap and Smallcap indices have outperformed the Sensex and are up 0.31% and 0.63% each at 6,739 and 8,410, respectively. The markets have come off the day"s high. The Sensex opened at 17,473, touched a low of 17,378 but soon jumped into green and touched a high of 17,537. The index is now up 34 points, up 0.08% at 17,499. The market breadth is fairly positive - out of 2,077 stocks traded so far, 1,407 have advanced, 626 declined and 44 are unchanged.
