The counter saw trading volumes of 134,277 shares as against the 2-week average of 134,827 shares. _________________________________________________________________________ (Updated at 1143 am) Infosys Technologies has firmed up after announcing plans to offer jobs to 13,000 freshers for 2010-11. The stock is trading higher by Rs 36 or 1.4% at Rs 2,481 on the BSE, compared to its previous day"s close of Rs 2,444. It opened at Rs 2,461 and touched a high of Rs 2,486 and a low of Rs 2,455 during the day. This is despite the fact that the number of engineering colleges it visits every year for campus recruitment is expected to drop by half from 2007 as the conversion rate (the number of people who get offers and finally join the company) has improved dramatically in the last two years.
