ArcelorMittal to gain Rs 7,000 crore from EU carbon credits
ArcelorMittal, the world’s largest steel maker, will benefit from a windfall of £1 billion (Rs 7,000 crore), thanks to the carbon credits issued to it under the European Trading Scheme. The Sunday Times today reported that ArcelorMittal will be the single largest beneficiary under the ETS due to its dominant presence in Europe.

1% of NSE and 6% of MCX on the block
One of the domestic financial houses plans to sell 450,000 equity shares of the National Stock Exchange (NSE), amounting to 1 per cent stake in the largest exchange in India. Sources said that one of the banks might be offloading a part of its stake. The process has already started with SBI Caps Securities, the investment banker for this transaction, asking for bids from institutions. Sources indicated that Rs 3,600-3,650 per share is being sought by the offloading entity.

HSCI launches 2 variants of Honda City

Honda City 1.5V and 1.5S will be priced starting Rs 8.82 lakh and Rs 8.37 lakh, respectively. The new Honda City will now be available as SMT, VMT and VAT. Additionally, all the variants will be available in 2 attractive types – Elegance and Inspire. The total investment made by the company in India till date is Rs 1,620 crore. At present, the company has a capacity of manufacturing 1,00,000 cars.
