Venus Remedies, Korean firm sign out-licensing deal
Drug firm Venus Remedies today said it has signed an out-licensing deal with a Korean firm for selling Sulbactomax drug, used in the treatment of pre or post-surgical infection and also for respiratory infections, in South Korea.

It has put out advertisements saying it has not hiked prices of its toned milk and full cream milk. The move comes at a time when some of its competitors (like Amul) have raised prices. Mother Dairy says the advertisement has been issued in the public interest.

During the second quarter BPCL, M&M, Lupin paid Rs 312 crore, Rs 112 crore and Rs 49.7 crore respectively as against Rs 40 crore, 17.5 crore and 11.4 crore in the same period a year ago. Bombay Stock Exchange’s sensitive indices Sensex was up 1.31 per cent or 212.70 points to 16,426 points at 12:34 pm.
